Alms Rounds.

In the time of the Buddha the villages directly participated in feeding the monastics by what where known as Alms Rounds. The monastics would walk through a village before noon carrying a bowl in which the villagers, out of the generosity of their hearts would place food into. This tradition is still followed in Buddhist countries. It is our intention to organize and continue this tradition in the vicinity of the monastery.
